Welcome to the 48th European Conference on Visual Perception,
which will take place in Bournemouth, Great Britain from Sunday 24th to Thursday 28th August 2026!

We are aware that attending ECVP (and conferences in general) is expensive, especially for students. ECVP 2026 is planning to offer several (possibly partial) travel/fee reimbursements to facilitate attending the conference in Bournemouth.

We will prioritise applications from students coming from low-income countries, as well as from early-career researchers who are temporarily without a salary (e.g., people looking for a position after finishing their PhD).

Please submit your funding request to us by email to ecvp2026@bournemouth.ac.uk (Subject: STUDENT TRAVEL AWARD) after your abstract submission, latest by 21st of April 2026.

Please include in the application:

  1. Your CV (one A4 page maximum)
  2. A short statement of motivation (250 words maximum)
  3. An academic support letter

Successful applicants are expected to attend the conference in person (otherwise funding will be re-allocated).

Applicants will be notified about the outcome by June 2nd 2026.

It is a pleasure to announce that once again the AVA and ECVP committee will be collaborating to offer the Tom Troscianko award to adventurous early-career scientists attending ECVP. The award will be for up to £2000 and should cover travel, registration, and other eligible costs to attend ECVP, including an additional visit to (at least) one other location for scientific purposes, with an emphasis on adventure!

Please refer to http://theava.net/awards/troscianko.php for award regulations and submission instructions. Submission deadline is the 21th of April 2026.
If the winning candidate indicates a preference for giving a talk (on submitting their abstract to ECVP), that request will be honoured.
